來源：19世紀末於美國被發現，在美國相當著名水果之一，也是主要經濟果樹之一，雖與金冠(Golden Delicious)品種名稱相似，但屬不同品種。
果狀：圓椎形，果皮暗紅色，貯藏力強，但視覺與本身風味並不相符，看似肉質硬脆，事實上一般很很鬆軟。
